ודברו כל עמא דבית יהודה ית עזיהו והוא בר שתסרי שנין ואמליכו יתיה תחות אבוי אמציהו:
amtsyhw abwy thkhwth ythyh wamlykw shnyn shthsry br whwa ezyhw yth yhwdh dbyth ema kl wdbrw
All the people of Judah took Uzziah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the place of his father Amaziah.

הוא בנה ית אלות ואתיבה לדבית יהודה בתר דשכיב מלכא עם אבהתוי:
abhthwy em mlka dshkyb bthr yhwdh ldbyth wathybh alwth yth bnh hwa
He built Eloth and restored it to Judah. After that the king slept with his fathers.

בר שתסרי שנין עזיהו כד מלך וחמשין ותרתין שנין מלך בירושלם ושום אמיה יכליה מן ירושלם:
yrwshlm mn yklyh amyh wshwm byrwshlm mlk shnyn wthrthyn wkhmshyn mlk kd ezyhw shnyn shthsry br
Uzziah was sixteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jechiliah, of Jerusalem.

ועבד דכשר קדם יי הי ככל מה די עבד אמציה אבוי:
abwy amtsyh ebd dy mh kkl hy yy qdm dkshr webd
He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

והוה למתבע אולפן מן קדם יי ביומי זכריהו דמליף בדחלתא דיי וביומיא דתבע אולפן מן קדם יי אצלחיה יי:
yy atslkhyh yy qdm mn awlpn dthbe wbywmya dyy bdkhltha dmlyp zkryhw bywmy yy qdm mn awlpn lmthbe whwh
He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the vision of God; and as long as he sought Yahweh, God made him prosper.

ונפק ואגיח קרבא בפלשתאי ותרע ית שורא דגת וית שורא דאשדוד ובנא קרויא באשדוד ובפלשתאי:
wbplshthay bashdwd qrwya wbna dashdwd shwra wyth dgth shwra yth wthre bplshthay qrba wagykh wnpq
He went out and fought against the Philistines, and broke down the wall of Gath, the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod; and he built cities in the country of Ashdod, and among the Philistines.

וסעדיה מימרא דיי על פלשתאי ועל ערבאי דיתבין בגרר ובמישר מעון :
mewn wbmyshr bgrr dythbyn erbay wel plshthay el dyy mymra wsedyh
God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians who lived in Gur Baal, and the Meunim.

ויהבו עמונאי תקרובתא לעזיהו ואזל שמיה עד מטי מצרים עד ארי תקיף לעלא:
lela thqyp ary ed mtsrym mTy ed shmyh wazl lezyhw thqrwbtha emwnay wyhbw
The Ammonites gave tribute to Uzziah. His name spread abroad even to the entrance of Egypt, for he grew exceedingly strong.

ובנא עזיהו מגדלין בירושלם על תרע זויתא ועל תרע חילתא ועל באומניא ותקיפנון:
wthqypnwn bawmnya wel khyltha thre wel zwytha thre el byrwshlm mgdlyn ezyhw wbna
Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, at the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them.

ובנא מגדליא במדברא ופסל גובין סגיעין ארום עותר סגיא הוה ליה ובשפלתא ובמישרא פלחי חקלין בתוריא וענבי כרמין בטורא ובכרמלא ארום רחים פולחנא דארעא הוה:
hwh darea pwlkhna rkhym arwm wbkrmla bTwra krmyn wenby bthwrya khqlyn plkhy wbmyshra wbshpltha lyh hwh sgya ewthr arwm sgyeyn gwbyn wpsl bmdbra mgdlya wbna
He built towers in the wilderness, and dug out many cisterns, for he had much livestock, both in the lowlands and in the plains. He had farmers and vineyard keepers in the mountains and in the fruitful fields, for he loved farming.

והוה לעזיהו משרין עבדי קרבא ונפקי חילא למשריא בסכום מניניהון בידא דיעיאל לבלרא ומעשיהו סרכא על ידא דחנניהו מן רבני מלכא:
mlka rbny mn dkhnnyhw yda el srka wmeshyhw lblra dyeyal byda mnynyhwn bskwm lmshrya khyla wnpqy qrba ebdy mshryn lezyhw whwh
Moreover Uzziah had an army of fighting men who went out to war by bands, according to the number of their reckoning made by Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the officer, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king’s captains.

כל מנין רישי אבהתא לגברי חילא תרין אלפין ושית מאה:
mah wshyth alpyn thryn khyla lgbry abhtha ryshy mnyn kl
The whole number of the heads of fathers’ households, even the mighty men of valor, was two thousand six hundred.

ועל ידיהון משרית חילא תלת מאה אלפין ושבע אלפין וחמש מאה עבדי קרבא בגבורת חילא למסעד למלכא על בעיל דבבא:
dbba beyl el lmlka lmsed khyla bgbwrth qrba ebdy mah wkhmsh alpyn wshbe alpyn mah thlth khyla mshryth ydyhwn wel
Under their hand was an army, three hundred seven thousand five hundred, who made war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy.

ואתקן להון עזיהו לכל חילא תרסין ומורנין וקולסין ושרינין וקשתין ולאבני קלעיא:
qleya wlabny wqshthyn wshrynyn wqwlsyn wmwrnyn thrsyn khyla lkl ezyhw lhwn wathqn
Uzziah prepared for them, even for all the army, shields, spears, helmets, coats of mail, bows, and stones for slinging.

ועבד בירושלם אומנותא במחשבתא קושקי חליליא בעובד אומנות אומנא למהוי על מגדליא ועל זויתא למפתק בגיררין ולמשדי באבנין רברבין ונפק שמיה עד למרחיק ארום אפריש לאסתיעא עד כדי אתקף:
athqp kdy ed lasthyea aprysh arwm lmrkhyq ed shmyh wnpq rbrbyn babnyn wlmshdy bgyrryn lmpthq zwytha wel mgdlya el lmhwy awmna awmnwth bewbd khlylya qwshqy bmkhshbtha awmnwtha byrwshlm webd
In Jerusalem, he made devices, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and on the battlements, with which to shoot arrows and great stones. His name spread far abroad, because he was marvelously helped until he was strong.

וכדי אתקף אתגס לביה עד דאתחבל ושקר במימרא דיי אלהיה ועל להיכלא דיי לאסקא על מדבחא דקטורת בוסמין:
bwsmyn dqTwrth mdbkha el lasqa dyy lhykla wel alhyh dyy bmymra wshqr dathkhbl ed lbyh athgs athqp wkdy
But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up, so that he did corruptly and he trespassed against Yahweh his God, for he went into Yahweh’s temple to burn incense on the altar of incense.

ועל בתרוי עזריהו כהנא ועמיה כהניא דיי תמנן בני חילא:
khyla bny thmnn dyy khnya wemyh khna ezryhw bthrwy wel
Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him eighty priests of Yahweh, who were valiant men.

וקמו על עזיהו מלכא ואמרו ליה לית לך רשו עזיהו לאסקא קטורת בוסמין קדם יי ארום לכהניא בני אהרן דמתקדשין לאסקא קטורת בוסמין פוק מן מקדשא ארום שקרתא ולא דילך ליקרא בקטרתא קדם יי:
yy qdm bqTrtha lyqra dylk wla shqrtha arwm mqdsha mn pwq bwsmyn qTwrth lasqa dmthqdshyn ahrn bny lkhnya arwm yy qdm bwsmyn qTwrth lasqa ezyhw rshw lk lyth lyh wamrw mlka ezyhw el wqmw
They resisted Uzziah the king, and said to him, “It isn’t for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to Yahweh, but for the priests the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed. It will not be for your honor from Yahweh God.”

ואתנסיס עזיהו ובידיה מחתיתא לאסקא וכד אתנסיס עם כהניא וסגירותא סגית בבית אפוהי קדם כהניא בבית מקדשא דיי מעלוי מדבחא דקטרתא:
dqTrtha mdbkha melwy dyy mqdsha bbyth khnya qdm apwhy bbyth sgyth wsgyrwtha khnya em athnsys wkd lasqa mkhthytha wbydyh ezyhw wathnsys
Then Uzziah was angry. He had a censer in his hand to burn incense, and while he was angry with the priests, the leprosy broke out on his forehead before the priests in Yahweh’s house, beside the altar of incense.

ואתפני לותיה עזריהו כהנא דיי ממנא לרישא וכל כהניא והא הוא סגיר בבית אפוהי וסרהבוהי למפק ואוף הוא סרהיב למפק ארום איתי עלוהי מימרא דיי מכתשא:
mkthsha dyy mymra elwhy aythy arwm lmpq srhyb hwa wawp lmpq wsrhbwhy apwhy bbyth sgyr hwa wha khnya wkl lrysha mmna dyy khna ezryhw lwthyh wathpny
Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead; and they thrust him out quickly from there. Indeed, he himself also hurried to go out, because Yahweh had struck him.

והוה מלכא עזיהו סגיר עד יום מותיה ויתב בבית סגירותא בר מירושלם כד סגיר ארום אתפרש מאנש ביתיה על מה דאתגזר עלוי בבית מקדשא דיי ויותם בריה ממנא על בית מלכא דאין ית עמא דארעא:
darea ema yth dayn mlka byth el mmna bryh wywthm dyy mqdsha bbyth elwy dathgzr mh el bythyh mansh athprsh arwm sgyr kd myrwshlm br sgyrwtha bbyth wythb mwthyh ywm ed sgyr ezyhw mlka whwh
Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house, being a leper; for he was cut off from Yahweh’s house. Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.

ושאר פתגמי עזיהו קדמאי עד לא סרח ואסתגיר ובתראי מן בתר דאסתגיר כתב ישעיהו בר אמוץ נביא:
nbya amwts br ysheyhw kthb dasthgyr bthr mn wbthray wasthgyr srkh la ed qdmay ezyhw pthgmy wshar
Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, wrote.

ושכב עזיהו עם אבהתוי וקברו יתיה עם אבהתוי בחקל קבורתא די הות למלכיא ארום אמרו סגיר הוא ומלך יותם בריה תחותוי:
thkhwthwy bryh ywthm wmlk hwa sgyr amrw arwm lmlkya hwth dy qbwrtha bkhql abhthwy em ythyh wqbrw abhthwy em ezyhw wshkb
So Uzziah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the field of burial which belonged to the kings, for they said, “He is a leper.” Jotham his son reigned in his place.
